Sail from the Amalfi coast through the Pontine Islands.

The Pontine Islands, located off the west coast of Italy in the Tyrannian Sea, offer an incredible mix of dramatic scenery and cultural splendor.  These volcanic islands have been home to many Roman emperors starting with Augustus Caesar. Our tour begins on the Island of Ponza and takes us 90 nautical miles to the port of Naples.  Each island offers a new opportunity to enjoy the Italian culture, history, and many flavors the region has to offer while sailing the islands of Prochida, Ischia, Ventotene, Ponza, and Palmerola.  Whether enjoying the sunset from the terrace of the Castle of Argenese, soaking in the thermal hot springs of Sargetto, or touring the many grottos of Palmerola, the Pontine islands make for an incredible cruising destination.

Sailing itinerary:

Day 1 // Positano

We look forward to welcoming you aboard at the Marina d'Arechi at 10am to get everyone settled. Once we are all aboard we will set sail along the Amalfi coast towards Positano, exploring the many seaside inlets and pebbly beaches along the way.

Day 2 // Ischia

Sailing from the Positano our next stop will be at the Castle of Argenesse on the Island of Ischia. Cocktails and a beautiful view of the sunset from atop the castle is one of our favorite highlights of our second day sailing the Pontine Islands

Day 3 // Ventotene

After breakfast, we will have a short sail around the island for a visit to the hot springs of Sargetto. There we enjoy lounging and swimming at the seaside hot springs followed by lunch and then our sail to the island of Ventoten for a night out in the small seaside town.

Day 4 // Ponza

Waking up in Ventotene is like going back in time where children swim in ancient grottos lined with Roman-era carved steps that lead into the sea, while grandparents enjoy conversations in the island's town square with the stresses of modern life nowhere to be seen. After a morning of exploring the island, we will continue on to the island of Ponza. Anchoring off the white cliffs of the island we will enjoy our afternoon and evening in the water anchored by the beautiful natural arches.

Day 5 // Palmerola

The island of Palmerola just 10 miles away is the crown jewel of the pontine islands with its sheer cliffs and grottos so large we tour through them on our paddle boards and dinghy. After a day of exploring Palmerola's many natural sites, we will close our day with a dinner on the beach overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Day 6 // Ponza

After a leisurely morning off the island of Palmerola, we will make our way to the port of Ponza to off load by 12pm.
